The infection control coordinator (ICC) is responsible that\nall decontamination and safety practices are maintained around the practice at\nall times. Their role is to crack the proverbial whip and ensure the safest\nenvironment possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changing Into and Out of Their Scrubs at Work<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Formerly, team members could leave the office in their\nscrubs and clean them at home. This is no longer the case. All team members\nwill change into and out of their scrubs at work to avoid any outside\ncontamination. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using Additional PPE <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Practices have always safely utilized PPE (personal\nprotective equipment), such as disposable masks and gloves. Now, they are\nincorporating even more protective gear, such as face shields and protective\ncoats and hats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
